Woman from Pearland is named Miss Texas 2019

Chandler Foreman of Pearland was floored — literally — when she was announced Saturday night as Miss Texas 2019 at the 84th annual state pageant, whose winner represents the Lone Star State at Miss America.

Foreman dropped to the floor and slapped the stage at the Eisenmann Center in Richardson as fellow contestants cheered with excitement.

Rising to receive her crown, sash and a bouquet of yellow roses, the daughter of Dexter and Courtenay Foreman of Pearland cried, “Oh, my God” again and again as she took her first walk as Miss Texas.
